About Us

Light green crocodile wearing a king's crown

Amy Ajax, Author

Once, there was a little girl in Texas who asked her mother to check under her bed for alligators every night. Some nights, her mother even had to use a room spray labeled "Alligator Spray" to reassure her that the room was safe.

Now that she is all grown up, she celebrates crocs and gators from the safety of the Pacific Northwest, where she lives with her family and her greyhound, otherwise known as a house crocodile, owing to her long snoot.

Brown bear in a black and red top hat

Kaylah Hancock, Illustrator

Kaylah was born in the Pacific Northwest and liked it so much that she decided to stay. While this is her first book, she's been creating art her whole life.

Nowadays, she works in a museum and shares her home with her faithful companion Zorra—a black and white cat who loves blanket forts.
